Making Moo's Nose

👉 Start with a Chain

Create a foundation chain of 5 stitches:

  • Make a slipknot on your hook.
  • Yarn over and pull through the loop on your hook 5 times. Each pull creates one chain stitch.

Row 1

Single Crochet (Sc) across the chain.

  • Work 4 Single Crochet (Sc) stitches, starting in the second chain from the hook and working into each chain space.
  • Once you reach the last stitch, do not chain to turn. Instead, you’ll continue working around the chain.

Chain One and Turn to Work the Other Side

Rotate your piece to work along the underside of the foundation chain.

Row 2

Work in the round.

  • Work 4 Single Crochet (Sc) stitches evenly along the underside of the chain.
  • Continue crocheting in a circular pattern around the piece, adding about 10 Single Crochet (Sc) stitches as you work to shape the nose. This creates a rounded, 3D shape for the nose.

Add the Nostrils

Using black thread or yarn, embroider two vertical lines for the nostrils on the nose.

  • Position the nostrils approximately 2 stitches apart for a balanced appearance.

Fasten Off (FO)

Leave a long tail (about 6–8 inches) for sewing. This will be used to attach the nose securely to Moo’s face
