Mistakes are a natural part of the crochet process, but the good news is that they can be easily fixed. The process of undoing your yarn back to the point of error is called "frogging." Just as stitch markers help you keep track of your progress, they can also be a big help in spotting and fixing mistakes more efficiently.
How to Handle and Correct Mistakes
📌 Spotting Errors Early: Using stitch markers to track key points in your project can help you catch mistakes—like missing or extra stitches—early on. This makes it easier to fix the issue without having to unravel too much of your work.
🐸 Frogging: When you spot a mistake, gently pull out the yarn, stitch by stitch, until you reach the error. If you’ve used stitch markers to highlight important points, this process becomes much easier as you’ll know exactly where to stop and resume your work.
➰ Reworking Your Crochet: After frogging back to the mistake, carefully redo the stitches from the corrected point. Stitch markers will help you pick up right where you left off, ensuring you stay on track with your count and pattern.
